New Lanark Visitor Centre in association with the Co-operative Group are holding a day of fun and celebration on Sunday 8th June 2008 to commemorate the life, work and legacy of social pioneer Robert Owen 150 years after his death.There will be live entertainment including the Co-op brass band, a barbershop quartet, Scottish dancing and also, a presentation by Dr Ian Donnachie, one of the foremost biographers of Robert Owen. A range of Fair Trade food and gifts will also be available for purchase in the Co-op Village.
