Moving the Mail Exhibition at Bo'ness

Now open at Bo'ness Station is Moving the Mail, a fascinating temporary exhibition which explores how postal workers have transported mail since the days of the stagecoach. This unique exhibition is on loan from the British Postal Museum & Archive. The display complements railway Travelling Post Office coach no.80382, which was added to the collection at Bo'ness in 2007 and is now on display for the first time. The coach is fitted out with sorting frames, where postmen sorted First Class mail and registered packets during overnight journeys throughout Britain.
